The most indispensable ingredient of all good home cooking: love for those you are cooking for” – SophiaLoren
Hello and Welcome to A Taste of Joy and Love! I’m so excited you’re here!
About A Taste of Joy and Love
A Taste of Joy and Love is all about celebrating good food with people you love. You will find healthy, easy Asian and Vietnamese recipes and above all deliciousness here. Occasionally, I will share some traditional Vietnamese recipes here. I hope through these recipes you’ll learn more about Vietnamese cuisine. Vietnamese cuisine is rather complex and requires extra time in the kitchen. I hope to show you shortcuts and tips that I learned from my family to make the process a little easier.
I love Asian food but sometimes I don’t have the time after work to be by the stove hours preparing meals for my family. Therefore, you’ll find plenty of meal prep recipes, 30 minutes’ meals, instant pot recipes for busy people.
About Me
I’m Amy, a full time accountant during the day but really a passionate lover of food all time. When I’m not in the office balancing the books or at home chasing around my 3-year-old toddler, you’ll find me here at this little corner of the internet.
My mother taught me “Cook your food with joy & love, and your food will taste more delicious because you cook it with passion”. I remembered when I was little and whenever we have family gathering, it’d take days and night just to prepare the food for the family event. And as curious as any little girl, I’d followed my aunts around the kitchen, offered my help. There were no recipes to follow back then, it was more of an estimate on the ingredients but the food came out perfect every single time!!! As I grew older and we moved to the United States, I’d helped my mom cook for the family and learned some kitchen techniques from her.
I am currently reside in Northern Virginia with my husband Thien, my baby girl Alexis and my little food catcher Camden (Jindo mixed).
I hope this little corner of the internet will connect you to Asian cuisines and give you the confidence to be creative in the kitchen.
Come back often to see recipes, tips and tricks and my failures in the kitchen.
Noodles and tacos are my jam so don’t be surprised to see tons of noodles and tacos recipes on the blog.
I’d love to connect with you. You can find me on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.
Thanks for stopping by!! Cheers to a joyful food journey!
